What if it was never your balance?
You do not tip because your balance failed. You Tip When You Run Out of Shoe.

The part nobody talks about
You Probably Already Know These Moments...
How to NOT compensate for lack of balance.
What you started doing
A hand on the wall to get a shoe on.
What you already tried
The insert did not change this.
If nothing changes
Somebody starts offering you an arm.
You Do Not Lose Your Balance. You Run Out of Shoe.
The solution
More Base. More Balance.
Simple.
Most shoes steady you front to back. This one steadies you side to side.
More shoe under you. On both sides.
Put them on standing up.
Room for your toes. And your orthotic.
Rubber tread, tested for slip resistance.
Four questions, about a minute. No measuring. Yours, or the pair for the person you care for.

The Base Got Wider. The Stepping Went Down.

More shoe under you when you lean. 2
A patented outrigger sole that runs past the foot on both sides, not a sole that stops where the foot stops. A 2026 review in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society lists wide soles among the shoe features that improved stability and reduced postural sway in older adults.
-
People needed to step less often to catch themselves. 1
In a lateral-balance test, widening the sole by 20mm each side took the share of trials needing a recovery step from 64% down to 39%. Sixteen adults aged 65 to 78.

Podiatrists looked at it before you did.
APMA Seal of Acceptance. It means they found the shoe beneficial to foot health. That is what the seal covers, and no more.
-
Tread that has been measured, not described. 2
Treaded rubber outsole, tested to ASTM for slip resistance. A bench test result, not a promise about any particular floor.
-
Your own orthotic still goes in.
The insole lifts out. Wide is available in every size, and the toe box is wider than a standard sneaker.

None of these studies tested a PAHI shoe. They tested what a PAHI shoe is: a wider base under the foot, and a treaded rubber outsole.
Questions
Straight Answers. One of Them Is No.
What if the size is wrong?
You send the unworn pair back on our prepaid label within thirty days. Sizing and fit are accepted return reasons. Would you rather swap than refund? You can have the same shoe in a different size, width or colour.
I am between two sizes.
Order both. Try each one indoors, keep the pair that fits and send the other back unworn on our prepaid label. Thirty days from delivery. Free either way.
I do not know where to start.
Find My PAHI asks you four questions and tells you which shoe and which size. It takes about a minute and you do not need to measure anything.
Will these stop me falling?
No. PAHI is not a medical device and nothing you wear can promise that. What a shoe can do is decide how much of it is under you when you lean. That is the entire claim on this page, and it is the only one we make.
Do they look like orthopaedic shoes?
No, and that is most of the point.
Will they last?
Theon mesh upper, rubber outsole. If they do not hold up for you, tell us.
I have wide feet. I have bunions. I wear orthotics.
You can get Wide in every size, the toe box is wider than a standard sneaker, and the insole lifts out so your own prescribed orthotic drops straight in.
Can I return them after wearing them outside?
Try them indoors first. PAHI accepts returns and exchanges for sizing and fit within thirty days of delivery, and ordering more than one size to find the right one is an accepted reason. Shoes that come back unworn are the ones nobody has to argue about, so keep the pair you are sending back off the pavement.

The PAHI shoes fit great. Amazing balance. I love the no tie laces and the insole adds fantastic comfort and support. I am going to buy another pair.
